About Informed. CEO & Founder Cynthia P. Moore

Cynthia is a proven leader. As the former President of the United Conservative Party of Alberta (UCP), she has led the organization through a period of significant transition which resulted in a change in leadership and successful re-election of the UCP in the 2023 Provincial Election. Her involvement since the founding UCP AGM in 2018 has helped grow the UCP into one of the largest political organizations in Canada.

From an early age, Cynthia has been drawn to leadership positions in student government, non-profit sector, political, community and arts organizations. Her leadership style relies on an in-depth understanding of board governance and how an organization grows and changes. For 20 years, she worked on the board of the Calgary Health Foundation (CHF) where she was instrumental in raising $60 million for the re-development of the NICU at Foothills Hospital in Calgary. This lead to being named an Honorary Patron of the CHF. During her 6 year term on the Board of Governors of AUArts (formerly ACAD), she helped the organization to move from a College to a full degree-granting University.

Cynthia’s professional career included Management Consulting with Price Waterhouse Coopers and a 20-year career at the Kahanoff Foundation where she developed the Kahanoff Centre for Non-Profit Organizations and the Alberta Performing Arts Stabilization Fund among other initiatives. Her mission is always to help non-profit organizations with their long-term sustainability. She was part of the team that developed the Genesis Centre in NE Calgary.

Cynthia’s various other board roles have been with Theatre Calgary, Alberta Ballet Foundation, Calgary Centre for Non-Profit Management, Dare to Care (Anti-Bullying in Schools), and the Alberta Liquor Review Board. One of Cynthia’s passions has always been the operation of Government. She has worked in Minister’s Offices in both the Governments of Alberta and Canada. She has many years of constituency work Federally and Provincially as well as campaign management at all three levels of Government.
